Free online image editors

Image editor SumoPaintMany online marketers don’t need the full capabilities of a purchased image editor like Adobe Photoshop or Corel PaintShop.

So save yourself the money and easily edit all of your images within Vision6. Our Files and Images area lets you easily resize, crop, rotate, flip and add text, stickers and more to your images all within Vision6.

Alternatively there are a lot of other freebies around. Although they don’t have the full functionality of Photoshop they have everything you need for basic image editing. Here are my top 11:

http://pixlr.com/
Pixlr allows you to edit, adjust and filter your images. It has a nice clean interface and if you are used to working in Photoshop you will feel right at home. It also now features http://pixlr.com/o-matic/, which you can use to create cool vintage photo effects.

http://fotoflexer.com/
FotoFlexer claims to be the “most powerful online photo editor in existence” and it certainly tries to live up to that, with a huge variety of effects, fonts, shapes, retouching features and advanced features which seem to be updated regularly. The user interface isn’t as neat as Pixlr but it’s definitely powerful.

http://www.splashup.com/
Splashup is a ‘full-featured’ product in which you can create new images, edit existing images and manipulate layers with filters. It also allows you to edit many images at once and is integrated with several top photo-sharing sites. Again, people who’ve used Photoshop will be right at home.

http://www.sumopaint.com/
SumoPaint is used for both image editing and drawing. The image editing features similar to those offered by Pixlr and Splashup however, some of the drawing tools are very nice to work with. The user interface is very smooth and fast. It also has some cool and useful features such as the Page Turn Effect which emulates the three dimensional appearance of page turn. You’ll need Flash installed for this one.

http://editor.pho.to/
Editor.Pho.to is perfect for headshots. With it, you can crop or resize an image, perform color correction and easily retouch a faces.

www.phixr.com/
Phixr is a very simple and easy-to-use online photo editor. It directly supports Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Flickr. It’s a very clean and easy ‘no frills’ image editor.

http://bighugelabs.com/
BigHugeLabs is lots of fun. It’s not as professional as many others but it has some nice quirky little features like: add comic book style captions to your photos, ‘Billboardize’ your message and bead art.

If you know of any other free online editors that you’ve used and loved, share them on our social media.
