The question is… will anyone really notice if I don’t come back?
So if all has gone to plan, right now I should be lying on the beach in Byron Bay… maybe if it’s raining I might have taken a trip to Bangalow for some coffee and cake. Meanwhile Kristin is off holidaying it up in New Zealand… and this blog post published itself.
Yep… the marketing department got itself organised and we have scheduled a couple of posts to release themselves whilst we are holidays. Similarly we have out tweets scheduled to go out when we want and even an email or two might magically make their way into your inbox.
I have to be honest, im feeling a little smug because it’s highly efficient and organised. But it has made me step back and consider whether I really make use of these great automation features often enough. When I’m in the office I rarely bother to schedule an email, tweet or blog post for that matter, even if I have them written in advance, I will still wait to manually hit publish or send. Im not entirely sure why, maybe it’s the control freak within or maybe I have become so accustomed to juggling dozens of balls at once, that I forget I can in fact let my friend technology juggle a few for me.
Either way, the reality is … im out of the office for two weeks, Kristin is away for three weeks and if we can be this organised, I kinda wonder if they will notice if we don’t come back!
