Mobile friendly email design
Mobile friendly email design has been one of the hot email marketing topics of 2013.
And rightly so.
Mobile email use continues to skyrocket with 47% of emails currently being opened on a mobile device (Litmus). So it’s clearly here to stay and is an important consideration for all us email marketers.
To help even the most novice designer create mobile friendly emails, we recently added responsive email templates to our system.
The templates are great as they automatically resize and stack content to fit neatly on any size screen. So it’s a good reading experience for your recipients whether they read your email on a desktop, tablet or other mobile device.
But if you’re serious about creating mobile friendly emails, there’s a few other things to consider to help with your design.
I recently spoke about this at the Email Marketing Summit Australia and provided some tips and examples of mobile friendly email design techniques. I received some really great feedback from the presentation and thought I’d share a condensed version of it with you here on the Vision6 blog.
Particularly if you’re new to the concept of mobile friendly email design and want an introduction on what you can do, I highly recommend you check it out.
Just a heads up too, we’re currently working on an e-guide for mobile friendly email design. It will contain a bunch of practical tips and helpful examples and promises to be a great resource on modern email design techniques. Make sure you subscribe to the blog and be first to hear when it’s released.
