Recently I wrote about email segmentation and included a video on how to clean up your database for easy segmentation.
If you’re a customer and you haven’t seen the video yet, check it out as it has some great tips on how to use the Spreadsheet View feature to get your database into shape.
But today I want to talk to you about another effective email tactic.
There are a number of ways to add personalisation into your email. But one of the easiest and most effective ways is to personalise your email content for each recipient.
A lot of you are probably already doing this by inserting the recipient’s first name as a wildcard somewhere in your email.
And this is really easy to do.
But many people don’t realise that you can use wildcards to personalise other sets of email content such as links and images.
It’s a very powerful way to engage your readers as you’re able to display content that is most relevant to them.
To see how it’s done, check out this video where we show you how to personalise text, links and images in your email using wildcards.
