Recycling company commits to Altona

Image: AltonaRapid expansion has prompted family-owned paper recycling company Think Recycling to lease new premises in Altona, Victoria.

Think has committed to lease a facility at Stockland’s Altona Distribution Centre at 48-52 Slough Road, Altona.

CB Richard Ellis senior negotiator, Tom Hayes, said that the 3189 sqm building was situated in a prime location in Melbourne’s western industrial precinct, adjacent to the Western Ring Road.

“The building, although more than 15 years old, comprises many of the functional qualities of a modern building, such as clear span warehouse space, drive around access, drive through canopy and substantial rear hardstand,” said Mr Hayes.

Mr Hayes added that the six-year lease commitment highlights the growth occurring in the recycling sector as a result of Federal Government’s $3.9 billion ceiling insulation scheme, under which insulation is to be installed in up to 2.7 million Australian homes.

Think Recyling is to relocate to Altona from a much smaller building in Hoppers Crossing.
