Park Users Profile
Do you visit your local park? Which one? Why? council is revieewing its Park Strategy and now wants to find out who uses our parks and why. This will help assiss how well our community is serviced by local and sporting parks. It will help work out what's needed to support Logan's growth.

Help us plan for Logan's cultural and creative future. Complete the online survey as part of Logan's Arts and Cultural Plan. Help us understand your creative interests.

Planning Scheme
Council is integrating its three current Planning Schemes and producing one Planning Scheme for all of Logan City, resulting in one new consistent Planning Scheme to help manage business, environment and residential growth throughtout all of Logan City. Your feedback is sought on the website by 31 July 2009 on the "good, bad and the ugly" about the existing schemes.

Waste Strategy
Council is drafting a strategy that will guide its waste management over the next decade. Watch out on our website for a future survey on this topic. The strategy will cover the provision of waste infrastructure, its cost and environmental considerations.

Mayor Pam Parker

A friendly message from the Logan City Mayor Pam Parker

What better way to wrap up the month than with a visit from the Prime Minster?

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd will hold a Community Cabinet meeting at Beenleigh State High School on Tuesday 30 June. It is the first time Prime Minister Rudd has held a Cabinet Meeting in Logan City.

Along with 20 of his Cabinet Ministers, Mr Rudd will host the public forum which is aimed at highlighting issues that are of concern to local residents, community members and civic leaders.

I will be making representation to the Prime Minister on a range of issues I feel are pertinent to the city and its residents.

I look forward to sharing the outcomes of some of the discussions at this meeting with you next month.
