spirit of the eagle showing at logan entertainment centre on 30 june

“If I ever come back, it will be as an eagle!” - John Denver.

The Logan Entertainment Centre is proud to host Trevor Knight’s internationally renowned show ‘Spirit of the Eagle’, which gives audiences a very special and personal interpretation of John Denver's songs and the story of his life through the three decades of his incredible career.

Much more than a tribute, ‘Spirit of the Eagle’ shows us the romance, adventure and fun that was John Denver and, as we sing along with songs like Leaving on a Jet Plane, Annie’s Song, Grandma’s Feather Bed, Calypso and Country Roads, we realise that we were fans all along.

Tickets are available online or via the Logan Entertainment Centre Box Office on 3412 5626. Be quick as places are limited!

Mayor Pam Parker

A friendly message from the Logan City Mayor Pam Parker

Congratulations to the winners of the Logan Song Competition announced on Thursday 21 May.

Cornubia musician Jules Makk was named the winner for his entry, Come Alive in Logan, which the judges agreed captured the many attributes of Logan City.

We had a great response from the community with 25 entries, and while the judges could only choose one winner, we felt that it was important to acknowledge the fine efforts of the other entrants, and so additional lyrics were included from Bel Morrison, Jay Turner and Cath Mundy, Lisa Young and Vicky MacDonald.

The finished product is indeed a unique song that is truly a collaboration of some of Logan's most talented musicians.

We will be using the song as a marketing tool to promote the city and provide a soundtrack for a variety of Logan events.

To hear the song, you can download it from Come Alive in Logan on our web site. Enjoy!
