BellyBelly.com.au eNewsletter - November 2007
| |
Hello !
Only a few nights ago, I was seated right behind the gorgeous Ricki Lake who was in Australia to present a very special screening of her new documentary, The Business of Being Born. It's not due for official release until January (in the USA), but given that it's peak pre-election time, she agreed to come to Australia and help the push for maternity services reform.
The documentary was incredible - both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. Every single person around the world needs to see this documentary, deemed 'The Inconvenient Truth' of birth. BellyBelly is currently investigating the opportunity to host a movie screening in Melbourne simliar to this weekend, so watch this space!
You can see the trailer here for a small taste. Even watching the trailer I get chills down my spine! I think it's wonderful that finally we have people with power and celebrity status passing on the message that so many of us have been jumping up and down about for decades (only to be looked at as being extremely alternative and risk-takers). Now is the time when the truth will be heard - and we need to spread the word. Go Ricki... Go Ricki... Go Ricki!!!!
Enjoy the update !

It’s a fairly common scenario – dad-to-be dreaming of a son to wrestle with and take to the footy, and mum-to-be dreaming of a daughter to dress up for ballet lessons and do her hair… but could there be an unconscious reason behind how comfortable (or uncomfortable) we feel about each gender? Pinky McKay shares her personal experience with gender dilemmas.

The Pink Kit - Birth Skills For All Couples
| |
Why should you get the Pink Kit?
“One of the best things about it was knowing that I had the knowledge and skills that would help me get through labour.” -- Catherine
"I'm not at all concerned about naturally delivering my expected big baby (4 kgs) or my pelvis shape/size or the position of the baby. I know how to help myself in any of these given situations. There was so much we didn't know about the birth process - ie: posterior babies mean longer labours, labouring on your back doesn't help a posterior baby, that breaking the waters makes it harder for the baby to turn.... you know those sort of things that can make all the difference." -- Johanne

Could Your Pet's Diet Be Shortening Their Lifespan? | |
Ditch the tin and save your furbabies from preventable illness and disease...
Your pet was not designed to eat grain based or processed foods in nature - so why do pet food manufacturers give us this for pet food? A raw foods diet is the very best thing for your pet, but don't just take my word for it. BellyBelly members are thanking me for bringing this diet to their attention, and are seeing dramatic improvements with their pets energy and vitality, (just as I did), who have diseases like lymphoma and skin conditions - and it's simply by knowing what to feed your pet. Give your pet a chance at a healthier longer life and start today. Includes an example of a raw foods cat & dog diet.
