| Ombudsman for overseas students The new Overseas Students Ombudsman is now operational. The Ombudsman investigates complaints about the actions and
decisions of private registered education providers in connection with
overseas students. The website says 'This service resolves complaints and helps private education providers to improve their policies and practices to enhance
the quality of international education in Australia'. The Overseas Students Ombudsman's service will
be free of charge to both providers and students.
Any RTO delivering to overseas students is strongly advised to visit the website and read the suggested wording that can now be included in internal complaint and appeal letters.
